Cohere Technologies and Vodafone Field Test Success

Cohere Technologies and Vodafone have announced the successful completion of field testing of Cohere’s Universal Spectrum Multiplier (USM) software in Vodafone’s 5G performance network in Ciudad Real. The testing took place in both indoor and outdoor environments.

During the trial, Cohere’s USM software was tested using 10MHz of spectrum in the 2.1GHz band, resulting in a capacity improvement of up to 50%. Vodafone’s Group Head of Open RAN, Paco Martin, expressed satisfaction with the results and highlighted the potential of the software to enhance network performance without the need for additional hardware.
