A new partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Northcentral Technical College (NTC) aims to provide students with a degree completion program in technology management. The agreement allows students who complete certain technology associate degrees at NTC to enter UW-Stevens Point’s technology management option program with equivalent credits. Upon completion, students can earn a bachelor of science degree with 56-65 credits from UW-Stevens Point, with additional credits offered online or at the Wausau campus. The partnership, signed at Greenheck in Wausau, reflects the collaboration between regional employers, NTC, and UW-Stevens Point to enhance workforce preparation in management, engineering, and communication skills.
Through this program, students in NTC’s mechanical design engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, electromechanical technology, and automation systems technology programs can seamlessly transition to UW-Stevens Point’s technology management major. This innovative approach to higher education aims to better align academic programs with industry needs and provide students with a comprehensive skill set for success in technology management roles.
